About Us

The Secret Cirkus is an extraordinary collective of fantastical performers whose focus is "CIRKUS" ; the unique combination of classic circus arts, sideshow acts, vaudeville, festival skills and Fire.

Based out of Greenville, South Carolina, our heroes ran a headquarters for alternative culture and monkey-business called The Ninjaplex from 2015-2018.  Now free of a stationary location, they can be found wherever dormant fires need awakening, where sparks need uniting, and where stars need to be polished to shine forth.

Due to the magnificent pull of cosmic forces on imaginary characters such as ourselves, our troupe is a revolving cast of charm, wit, and beauty.  The Secret Cirkus has been home to a great many amazing performers who have gone on to other adventures.  Our current dream-team of A-list celebrities is as follows:

  • TimTv - our proud crowd astounder and rarely-humble founder, he might be a Big Fish; he might be a flounder
  • Steffie Po - bold and sassy like a barbecued bean,  hot & classy like a Dancing Queen
  • Pryzmi Polychrome - twirly with charm and coquettish contortion, she clowns and eats fire in equal proportion
  • The Amazing Sol - he twists and turns with serpentine charm, his wond'rous talent is as long as his arm!
  • Milla Wafer - she's a one-of-a-kind, with a wink and a smile, she juggles and jiggles and clowns with SUCH style
  • Sahara Dessert - bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, full of vigor and glee, our darling Sahara is something to see!
  • TerrBerr - he's charming and dashing and sometimes panaching
  • Gamber Grimm - she flies through the air with the greated of tease and lands in the stands as neat as you please
  • Special Guest Stars - quite often our Amazing performer friends join us in our wacky antics & madcap hijinx

A Little History
Our story harkens back to the yesteryear of 1998, in the rusted metropolis of Detroit, MI, when TimTv met a touring band of gypsy cirkus performers by the name of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus out of NYC.  They came, shiny, inspiring, and implanted a gleam of possibilities in his heart.  Then, in 2000, Tim attended the Black Rock Arts Festival, better known as Burning Man.  The gleam raged into a bonfire, and upon returning home, he sought out other like-minded weirdos and together they created Detroit's first fire & cirkus troupe: The Fire Fabulon.

With several hundred shows under his belt, in 2008 Tim moved to Greenville, SC and began poking about; pinching and squeezing the sensibilities of his newfound home.  In 2009, Thee Inner Cirkus was born and enjoyed several years of fantastic performances.  With time and evolution, in 2011 the Secret Cirkus burbled forth from the swirling ether and have taken the town by storm ever since.  Now, traveling all over the Southeast, our troupe hopes to "Elevate, Transcend, Orchestrate & Inspire" all that we encounter on our adventuring.  'Cause that's how we do.
